One Step Forward, One Step Back
Jan. 30th, 2004 11:00 amThe human race often amazes me in the way it steadfastly refuses to make net progress. Today's cases in point:
A step forward - NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe has chosen to at least review his decision to cancel all missions to the Hubble Space Telescope (CNN.com Article Here)
A step backward - The great state of Georgia may strike the word "evolution" from it's curriculum. Schools could still buy books that use the word, and teachers could still teach the subject and use the word in the classroom. But in the curiculum, the term "Evolution" would be replaced with "biological changes over time". (CNN.com Article Here)
