Difficulty Remaining Sanguine
Feb. 21st, 2004 10:55 pmIt's Satyrday night, and I'm sick. I've had a cold for a few days, and while it's getting better, I'm really not up to snuff yet. So, this evening my Lady and I sat down to a quiet evening watching a movie. In this case, that perhaps wasn't the best idea.
The movie's script was mediocre, though it had some technical holes in it. Luckily, the cast was good - Dustin Hoffman, Morgan Freeman, Donald Sutherland, and Cuba Gooding, Jr. all turned in decent performances. I wouldn't have wanted to pay theatre prices to see it, but for a film on TNT it was reasonable. It still probably wasn't the best idea.
It's just a little creepy watching "Outbreak" while you're running a fever, sniffling, sneezing, coughing. It didn't help that the fictional disease in the movie was a form of hemorrhagic fever, and we had a nice, bright red raspberry sorbet for dessert.
So, if anybody I've been around in the past few days has been in contact with any monkeys, please drop me a line, just in case....
