Not like he was getting my vote anyway...
So, on johnmccain.com, a blogger named Michael Goldfarb (apparently, a deputy Communications Director of the McCain campaign since sometime in June) must have figured that gamers were all leftists, so he could insult them with impunity, as he wrote the following:
"It may be typical of the pro-Obama Dungeons & Dragons crowd to disparage a fellow countryman's memory of war from the comfort of mom's basement, but most Americans have the humility and gratitude to respect and learn from the memories of men who suffered on behalf of others."
From which I gather that Senator McCain has jerks supporting him. Ignorant jerks, even, as the modern US military has quite a few gamers in it - D&D is pretty portable stuff.
While he may not be personally responsible for the specific words, McCain's responsible for having a jerk write in support of him on his website. That he'd allow anyone to write insulting stuff for him shows the kind of campaign he's willing to run. That a man who lauds the honor of military service can turn around and allow this drek is shameful.
