So, I'm still looking for a new job. part of my regular regimen is to do a pass through some job search engines on a regular basis. Today's experience was with Monster...

I understand that sometimes search engines can be a little finicky, but my search should not be difficult. Computer software and/or IT, project management, Boston area. Seems simple enough. It should spit out all the appropriate listings easily enough. I have oodles of time to sift them further by myself.

I did that, and came up with very little of interest today. So, I went and fiddled with my Monster resume. When I finished that, without being prompted, it gave me a couple of listing hits even though I hadn't asked for them. I have no problem with that - the system exists purely to get me hits, right?

But one of them looked pretty nice. Company that does educational software (among other things), needs a PM for development of a mathematics package, and they even want someone who is into agile development. This rings my bells on several different levels.

Of course, despite it being names "Software Project Management", it had shown up on none of my previous searches. Makes me wonder how many other positions I am not finding.

Grr.

Edit: Oh, yeah. One of the most frequent hits I get on Monster searches is for a position at Monster - Search Engine Optimization Project Manager. So there you have it.
