The Best Day of Vacation

There was one day of our cruise in the Caribbean which stands out to me as fundamentally better than all the others, not because the it was necessarily more entertaining, or the sights more beautiful, but because at every step of the way, from beginning to end of the day, we were pleasantly surprised.

From that day, I have a picture - the only picture I took of myself on the trip, in fact. And, it epitomizes the day nicely:
