Henry Reich, of Minute Physics, has a few words and pictures for the President.

This goes a way to explain why we have so many nutbar denials - we are not teaching them not to be so.

Modern philosophy and rigorous thinking methods largely also date from the late 19th century...

Pity we don't teach those as well.

On the other hand, a smarter consumer is bad for the economy. :-)

Part of teaching physics properly includes a chunk of modern philosophy and an even bigger chunk of rigorous thinking methods.

A smarter consumer is bad for the economy, only in that our businesses are currently adapted to take advantage of stupidity, because we are largely dumb. They could, given reason, adapt to take advantage of smarts.

They are harder to ensnare with the same-old, same-old marketing methods. They are *easier* to ensnare with others.
