News From My Home in an Alternate Universe

I read this today in a sidebar on Sci Fi Wire:

"Jamey Sheridan has joined CBS' supernatural drama pilot Babylon Fields, about a Long Island town where the dead come to life; Sheridan will play a zombie, a former bullying man and a wife-beater, according to The Hollywood Reporter."

This, in and of itself, isn't really major news. Except for the fact that I grew up in Babylon Township (the hamlet of North Babylon, to be precise). I am struck with the image of zombie teenagers under the "Flying W", a bit of a goofy landmark in front of my old high school. Not that dissimilar from reality?

*chuckle*

(Whereas I see the words "J...Sheridan", "Babylon", and "Hollywood" in close proximity and leap to a different unintended something. :)

Especially with a Sheridan who has died and yet lives.

Look out! The Brentwood zombimbos are attacking!

Babylon, eh? That explains a lot. :-P

Hmm... zombies and goofy landmarks... that conjures up images of Buffy for some reason. And not the TV show, the original movie.
