The film clip here isn't a real person - she's a computer animation. Simply astounding.

wow! VERY impressive, though the blur around her facial features (even before they started playing with her face) was somewhat distracting, especially as everything else about her is sharp and clearly-focused. Still, Simone anyone? *g*

Well, notice that her shoulders are in good focus? The blur is around things in motion - you see that even on my TiVo if I'm using a low recording quality. It may be an artifact not of their rendering, but of the video compression used to put in on YouTube.

Possibly, but then her hands would soften as she begins moving them and they don't, at least not to the degree that her face does. Also, the hair above her right shoulder is essentially stationary throughout, but is completely out of focus. I think they just have some refining of their process to do - no disrespect of their accomplishment intended!

Watching again, I think it may be *only* her face they rendered, so that her hair and hands are actually hers. Then, if her hair is blurry, it is not a matter of their rendering.

Her hands are relatively large and devoid of relative detail - you will normally see compression artifacts more around regions where there's lots of important and delicate detail over small areas.
