So, my cell phone is dying the death of the 4-year-old battery. Darned thing won't keep a charge anymore. I just barely use it enough to justify its existence, but so be it, time to look for a new phone.

I go to Sprint's website, to pick one out, and come to their login page. It has been years since I logged in - I don't remember my password. So, I jump through their "forgot my password" hoops...

...and they text message my password to my phone. Which, of course, is dead, and cannot receive the text message. *sigh*.

Will the phone work if it's plugged in to the wall? That would let you get the password, at least.

So far, no. It gives me a "Battery Charging" screen, and no access to the phone's functions. perhaps after it has reached sufficient charge, I'll have access, so we'll wait and see.

And if there's nothing wrong with the phone, other than the battery, get a new battery. They're frequently less than $5 (including shipping) new on Ebay and infinitely less irritating than dealing with Sprixtel. Just my $.02 - I've a grudge against Sprint's customer service. *g*

I was about to add a note saying I just ordered a new battery for my phone off eBay for a very inexpensive amount. Go that route.
