Someone missing the point...

So, my cell phone is dying the death of the 4-year-old battery. Darned thing won't keep a charge anymore. I just barely use it enough to justify its existence, but so be it, time to look for a new phone.

I go to Sprint's website, to pick one out, and come to their login page. It has been years since I logged in - I don't remember my password. So, I jump through their "forgot my password" hoops...

...and they text message my password to my phone. Which, of course, is dead, and cannot receive the text message. *sigh*.

Arisia Panels

Well, it looks like I'm a panel short of a comp this year. I suppose I shall have to look for an hour of programming-related volunteering to fill the gap.

I wasn't sure I was planning on staying at the con until so late on Sunday, but we'll see what happens there. Maybe I can turn it into a "last thing after dinner" panel...

Anyway, my panels are:

Science - Possible and Impossible in Physics
Sat 9:00 PM 1hr
Arnis Kletnieks, Bill "Crash" Yerazunis, Ken Olum, Bruce Mackenzie

What could an advanced civilization accomplish, given the laws of physics as we
understand them today, but no engineering constraints? FTL? Time travel?
Immortality? Arbitrarily fast computation? This panels is about what we think is
possible, not what it would mean for society.

Literature - Secrets of the Illuminati
Sun 9:00 PM 1hr
Arnis Kletnieks, Jonathan Woodward, Martha H Adams, Shava Nerad, Jeff Mach (m)

Remembering Robert Anton Wilson and the golden days of the geeks. Illuminati's
popularization fnord brought us everything from Steve Jackson Games titles to
words of questionable meaning. Discuss the Illuminati and its mythos fnord and
what it means to you.
